National Pulse Polio Programme |
The Hospital Society actively participates in the national Pulse Polio Programme in association with the State Government, Bidhannagar Municipality and Rotary Club. About 400 children receive Polio caccine on every Polio Sunday for the last 5 years. The society has received a certificate of appreciation jointly from the District Magistrate and Chief Medical Officer (Health) of North 24 Parganas. |
Free Monthly Diabetic Clinic and distribution of free insulin |
The Hospital Society has collaborated with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation(JDRF) and together they run a free Diabetic Clinic on the first Sunday of every month. In this clinic, they provide Insulin, free of cost, to more than 50 needy patients at each clinic. |
Free Medical Camps at slum areas |
The Hospital Society, jointly with Medical Service Center, works as a socio-medical organization and runs a number of medical camps at different slum areas in and around Kolkata. 100-150 poor patients are treated free of cost at every clinic. |
Participation in Disaster Management |
The society has developed a well trained Disaster Management team with state-of-art equipments. The team is composed of a number of dedicated Doctors, Nursing Staff and Paramedics, who regularly participate at most natural and man-made disasters in West Bengal and other states. Academic and Cultural Activities |
Throughout the year, all the consultants, doctors, nurses, staff and other members of the Hospital society participate in academic sessions, seminars on different meetings, mortality review and in-house training. They also organise various programmes to remember and pay respect to great personalities of different fields who have contributed to human civilization. These inculcate proper medical ethics, morality and noble human values among the members of the organisation. |
