Mission and Vision of The Calcutta Heart Clinic & Hospital Society

A sense of patriotism with a motivation to serve the people was the main source of inspiration to establish “The Calcutta Heart Clinic and Hospital Society” as a Non-commercial Socio Medical Organization. The Society has been registered in 1975 under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961, by Dr. Nani Guha, Founder Secretary of the Society, who was a renowned Physician and an eminent Freedom Fighter.

The Vision and Mission of the Society since its inception is to provide all sorts of Socio Medical Services, particularly to the needy and the underprivileged people through its activities.

On one hand, it provides all sorts of In-house Medical treatment facilities including Outdoor, Indoor and Diagnostic (investigations) services, while on the other hand, it provides these services to the people with great sincerity and warm hospitality at a minimum possible cost.

The society is exempted u/s 12a of IT Act as a Charitable Organisation. The donations are accepted u/s 80G of IT Act, 1961 and registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976. All statutory obligations have been met adequately.

In the present day, there is a huge developmental change in the Medical field including all the Health Care Set up. So, the Nurses also need to be equipped with the Modern Nursing study and techniques to render quality care and services to the patients.

The Society believes that the Nurses are the key persons in the Heath Care setup. Unless the standard of Nursing is improved and upgraded, the hospital will not be able to provide quality care to the patients. There is an untiring effort of the Members of the Society to upgrade the quality of medical treatment facilities of the Hospital as well as the Moral and Ethical values of its Health Providers. Therefore, the Governing body of the Society has put much emphasis on uplifting the standard of Nursing in the Hospital in particular and in the Society in general.

So, the Society feels the need to open a Nursing Academy to prepare Modern Nurses to render Comprehensive quality care to the patients to fulfill the Vision and Mission of the Society.

Prof. Maitreyee Bardhan Roy is acting as the Academic Director of The Calcutta Heart Clinic & Hospital Society. She is also responsible for the academic and administrative activities of Sister Nivedita Nursing Academy.

This Hospital has already earned a reputation for its warm hospitality, deep affection and comprehensive Health Care services to the patients, which is the Motto of “The Calcutta Heart Clinic & Hospital Society”.
